My Field Trip to El Dorado, Arkansas and the Local ConAgra Chicken Processing Plant

I'm not sure who we upset but in early March of 2001 Ed, Ron, and myself ended up in El Dorado for a weekend of work. These pictures document a little bit of our tour inside the plant. This plant goes through 250,000 birds a day and we got to experience a little part of it though I will spare you pictures of actual bird killing, defeathering, and evisceration. Just think, next time you are sitting down to eat some yardbird at KFC it very well may have come from this plant.

The hairnet is making a comeback this year.

Would you buy chicken from this guy? I think not!

Ron looking ever so handsome for the ladies!

Babushka! Here I am masquerading as an old Russian lady.

Notice the birds cruising behind my head up towards the roof.
Day 41 really is pretty bad for these birds.
